Fitting Days & a Preview of New Equipment

Blog Post By: Jon Conklin, Director of Operations and Head Golf Pro

For years, Demo Days have been a staple in the golf industry. You can come out and try a variety of equipment from the industry's leading equipment manufactures. However, there has always been something missing when it comes to Demo Days. It’s that one-on-one experience of ensuring the customer is getting the best product for his or her game, accompanied with the best service.

Don’t get me wrong, we always have given 100% to each person who approaches us at a Demo Day. However, when we are fitting a person for a full set of irons and we have 4 others wanting to test equipment, this takes our attention away from that original person who is simply trying to find the best set of irons for their game.

Therefore, we are trying a new approach! New in 2018, we are implementing "Fitting Days" instead of the normal "Demo Day". On May 19th and 20th, from 10:00AM - 2:00PM, we will be accepting reservations for people to try out new golf products, all while having one-on-one time with that company's professional fitting representative.  Both days will consist of fitting times from 10:00AM - 2:00PM, and we will have two companies on-site per day. Saturday we welcome TaylorMade, along with Cleveland/Srixon. This is followed by Callaway and Titleist on Sunday.

You can learn more about our Fitting Days by clicking here.

These fittings are free of charge and each company will also have their launch monitors on-site to provide a full fitting experience. During this time, we will have aggressive pricing on our in-stock golf clubs and can special order anything you would like. Below are a few bullet points of each company’s equipment this year.

Facetwist Technology is the big news from TaylorMade this year.  Both the M3 and M4 drivers have it and you won’t believe it until you see it! Please follow the link below for information and a video on this new technology.

Last fall, Cleveland reveled the much awaited CBX wedge, and short game guru, Dave Pelz, is a huge supporter! With a name like Dave Pelz embracing your product, they must have something here.

After a few years of getting out of the equipment game (other than wedges), Cleveland came back with guns-a-blazing, with the Launcher HB lineup of woods. The Launcher was the most successful lineup of medal woods in the company’s history. They did a fine mix between the Launcher and HiBore family to make the new medal line.  What is most impressive here is not just the technology, but the price point. You’re not looking at a $500 driver from Cleveland, but a far more reasonable $300 driver.

Callaway did it again.  After a huge year in 2017, with the new Epic driver with “Jailbreak Technology”, they came out with the new Rogue driver/fairway and hybrid, with the same jailbreak technology.

Callaway Rogue irons have hit a home run with exceptional feel and distance.  Callaway is the #1 iron in golf and proves it with the new look of the Rogue irons.

Titleist has always been a leader in the golf equipment industry, and they are showing why with the new iron line for 2018.  A revamped iron line, with the addition of the AP3, has seeb a lot of talk in the golf industry.  The new AP3 is more of a player's distance iron as you would see in many other manufacturer's line-ups, but with the feel and look that Titleist gives to each set of irons they produce.
