"Marlene and I had the pleasure of playing Bucks Run for the first time Friday, 10-14-2011 . Although the weather was not entirely cooperative, we would like the entire staff at Bucks Run to know that we enjoyed a wonderful day of golf at your facility. The golf course played challenging, but lenient when we were paying close attention (typical of a J. Matthews layout). The course presented many opportunities for recovery from a missed shot, and rewarded a well executed stroke (I played from the White tees; Marlene from the Red). The course remained in excellent condition (a pleasant surprise given our late season experience ), and the greens were both receptive and well rolling. Marlene and I were warmly welcomed and well accommodated by the course's food and beverage staff (we were both somewhat astonished, but grateful to see beverage service on the course at this late date). Marlene and I will make it a point to tell our Southwest Michigan golfing friends about our great experience at Bucks Run, and we plan to visit again both soon and often .
