Course Update 4/25/2014

Last week's weather pushed back a couple of projects to this week, making a hectic yet productive week. On Monday we sprayed greens with a fertilizer "cocktail" to encourage growth. With the cool temperatures that we have had, the bentgrass is just sitting around so we decided to give it a little kick. Below you can see an unsprayed area(check plot) on #13 green and the difference in color..

On Tuesday Murin Company came in to install some drainage. I have worked with them for almost 15 years now and they are just great to work with. We installed about 275 feet of 4 inch drain tile in one day. We added new drainage to 12, 15 and 16 fairways.

On Wednesday Central Michigan Tree Trimming came in to grind stumps. Once again another great company to work with and they spent the entire day grinding stumps for us.

Today we took the opportunity to spray fairways with some fertilizer to kick start them a bit as well. Soon we should start seeing some warmer temperatures so the course will finally wake up. We hope to see you out on the course, this weekend looks like a good one so grab those clubs and come play a round. Have great weekend.
